Top Things to Know Before Booking with Thrifty Adventures
Before confirming your trip, please take a moment to go through these key points to ensure a smooth and informed booking process:
1. Read the Brochure First
Please read the tour brochure carefully before making any payments. It contains essential details about what’s included and what’s not.
2. Travel Insurance is Essential
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances, including cancellations from your side or by third-party providers.
3. Visas, Passports & Entry Requirements
All travel documents (visas, passports, vaccinations, COVID certificates, etc.) are the responsibility of the traveler. We offer advice, but clients must handle acquisition and costs personally.
4. Deposit is Non-Refundable
All deposits are non-refundable. Minimum deposits:
- R3,000 for flight packages
- R2,000 for road packages
Installment payments are welcome.
5. Flights & Air Tickets
You will receive an email requesting your approval before we book your flight. Once confirmed, air tickets are non-refundable.
6. Recommended Spending Money
Bring extra spending money for meals, optional activities, or personal expenses.
Recommended minimum: R3,000+ depending on the destination.
7. Room Sharing
All prices are per person sharing. Single occupancy will attract an additional cost.
8. Itinerary & Inclusions
Some meals or activities listed in the itinerary are for guidance only and may not be included in the package. Always check the “Package Includes” section to see what’s covered.
9. Possible Changes to Your Package
We reserve the right to make changes to the package, including:
- Dates of travel
- Accommodation or airline
- Tour price (due to exchange rates, airline fees, or supplier failure)
We commit to communicating any changes at least 48 hours in advance of implementation.
10. Booking & Payment Methods
You can book your tour directly on our website, or reach out to us via WhatsApp or email.
Payments can be made securely through our online payment gateway or via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer).
11. Discount Requests
Discounts such as birthday or returning-client offers must be requested at the time of quoting or invoicing. Once the invoice is paid and cleared, no discounts will be applied or refunded — they are considered forfeited.
