Your itinerary
Ten days, eight nights — leaving Johannesburg on the Sunday, into Zurich, and home from Paris on the Tuesday.

Depart South Africa
- Arrive at OR Tambo at least three hours before departure.
- Depart Johannesburg for Zurich, Switzerland.
- Overnight flight.

Arrival in Zurich
- Arrive at Zurich Airport, clear immigration and transfer to your hotel.
- Check in and take some time to relax after the overnight journey.
- Zurich Old Town — a leisurely walk through the historic centre, its streets, architecture, shops and cafés.
- The Limmat River and Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich's famous shopping street.
- Free evening.

Zurich city experience
- Grossmünster — one of Zurich's most recognisable landmarks, and the surrounding Old Town.
- Lake Zurich — time along the waterfront and views across the lake.

Zurich to Interlaken
- Breakfast and check out.
- Travel by train from Zurich to Interlaken, through Swiss countryside, lakes and mountain scenery.
- Check in at your hotel in Interlaken.
- Höhematte Park, the town centre and the local shops — a relaxed afternoon settling in.
- Free evening.

Lauterbrunnen and Wengen
- Train from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen, about thirty minutes.
- Staubbach Falls — one of Switzerland's most famous waterfalls, cascading down the cliffs above the village.
- The Lauterbrunnen valley and village, on foot.
- Continue by train to Wengen, a car-free Alpine village — mountain views, small shops and mountain cafés.
- Return to Interlaken in the afternoon. Free evening.

GoldenPass Express to Montreux
- Early breakfast, then board the GoldenPass Express towards Montreux — one of Switzerland's most beautiful railway journeys.
- Alpine scenery, Lake Thun, the Gstaad region, forests, valleys, vineyards and Lake Geneva along the way.
- Arrive in Montreux on the shores of Lake Geneva — the waterfront and the lakeside promenade.
- Free time for lunch, cafés, shopping and photographs.
- Scenic journey back to Interlaken in the late afternoon.

Free day in Interlaken
- A completely free day with no scheduled group activities.
- Shop, explore, relax in Höhematte Park, book a spa treatment or simply enjoy the Alpine surroundings.
- A good day to arrange your own optional excursions if you would like to.

Interlaken to Paris
- Early breakfast and check out.
- Travel by train from Interlaken to Paris, with the necessary connections along the way.
- Transfer to the hotel and check in.
- The rest of the day is deliberately kept free — this is a travel day.
- Free evening in Paris.

Paris sightseeing
- A full day using the Hop-On Hop-Off sightseeing bus to move between the city's major landmarks.
- The Eiffel Tower and Trocadéro, for the classic view and photographs.
- The Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées.
- The Louvre and the glass pyramid — time around the courtyard rather than a full museum visit, which takes several hours.
- Notre-Dame and the Seine river area.
- Time through the day for lunch, cafés, shopping and exploring on your own.
- Final evening in Paris at leisure.

Paris to Johannesburg
- Final breakfast, and some free time depending on the flight departure.
- Check out and transfer to the airport at least three hours before the international flight.
- Depart Paris for Johannesburg.
