New Year on a white-sand island in the Indian Ocean. Seven days rather than the usual six, which buys you a full free day on New Year's Day itself — Saturday 1 January — to do absolutely nothing after the night before.
We build the cultural and adventure days into the itinerary and take you to each site, so you only pay entry for the ones you actually want to do.

What you need
- Passport must not expire before 3 July 2028
- Zanzibar insurance, R400 to R800
- Travellers under 18: unabridged birth certificate, valid passport, and an affidavit from any parent not travelling
- Recommended spending money from R3,000, plus a budget for the optional entries and New Year's Eve
- Yellow fever certificate if arriving from or transiting an East or Central African country
- Clean, undamaged US dollar notes issued after 2013 — older notes are often refused
- Universal adapter — Zanzibar uses the UK-style three-pin

New Year's Day — free day
- A completely free day with no scheduled group activities.
- Recover from the night before, swim, or do nothing at all.

Departure
- Early breakfast, transfer to the airport and fly back to Johannesburg.
